The sector calls for a fair price review

The wind sector believes it is necessary for the new central government to introduce changes in regulation and a fair and coherent review of the remuneration for renewables for the coming years. The Energy Reform foresees that before the end of the year an analysis of the economic parameters should be carried out in which “elements that generate uncertainty and lack of confidence in investors should be eliminated”, says the Business Wind Association.

The AEE warns that if the parameters of the last three years are not modified, the companies will not reach the “reasonable profitability” that contemplates the law since it would imply a remuneration 56% inferior to the one that would correspond to them.

The sector hopes to open a dialogue with the new executive in order to boost a sector that employs 22,500 people in Spain and contributes to reducing the electric bill to citizens.
